Henrik Johan Rehbinder inherited the farm from his father, Baron Reinhold Rehbinder. Like his father, Henrik went to war. He was part of Charles XII's army and was captured by the Russians during the Battle of Poltava in 1709. It was not until 1721, in connection with the Peace of Nystad, that Henry became a free man again.
