Brita inherited Dufweholm with its homestead and croft from her father, Landshövding Johan Dufva. It is likely that it was she who changed the name of the farm to Dufweholm in memory of her father. After her father's death, Brita married 75-year-old Major General Johan Conradsson Fitinghoff at Broby.

The Generalskans suite has a nice view of Lake Duveholm and a comfortable bed. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub and sauna.
